Red wines are wines made from blue grapes. In addition, it also differs from white wine or rosé wine in the manufacturing process, as it is created through maceration or digestion.
Red wines can develop complex aromas, which are often noticeable in combinations, e.g. with vanilla, cocoa, berries, chocolate, spices and many more.
High-quality red wine cuvées are increasingly coming from Germany, often from the well-known wine regions of Württemberg, Rheinhessen and Pfalz. The art of blending is known as "marriage". A successful cuvée achieves a higher quality and complexity than the individual parts from which it was composed.
